Hi, everyone. So nice to be here. So Vivienne is the CEO and cofounder of LoomBox, which is my go to red light at home therapy. This has really changed things for me for my autoimmune specifically as it attacks my esophagus, especially during spring. I'm in high inflammation season right now, and I used to take a trifecta of supplements to try to manage it and a really rigorous diet in spring. And I've recently made the switch over to using LoomBox on my throat area in the morning for 5 minutes and in the evening for 5 minutes. And so far, I have had no symptoms. So I have Vivian to thanks for this. Vivian, tell us a little bit about you, a little bit about LoomBox, and your background. Oh, thank you so much, Nicole. That story really warmed my heart.

Feel weird. Like, can I just have some apples and oranges? And the the teachers were giggling, and I was my instinct was to do this. Like, oh, I'm that mom. But actually what I realized was, yeah, go me. You know? Intuitive eating elimination diet. I feel like they there's a way that that goes hand in hand. You mentioned this word eating hygiene. Has anyone ever heard of that? I want you to take me through what eating hygiene is and how you use it in your practice. Okay. Oh, before I do, I wanna say congratulations. I love your parenting skills. That's just wonderful. And, I mean, just the whole self awareness, you know, every time you take a bite of food and how you feel. So for eating hygiene, the reason I I I wanna bring this up is because some people may feel bloated or weight gain from from eating just a little bit of food, and it could be due to something as simple as eating hygiene. So we're we're not just what we eat. We are we are what we eat, digest and absorb. And so eating is just one part of the equation. So what does eating hygiene consist of? So number 1 is to chew thoroughly until liquid like because chewing is the only part of digestion that is voluntary. So once you swallow, the rest of your GI tract takes care of it. And number 2, relax so that your body is focused on digestion and not running away to safety from a hungry lion. So if you're stressed, maybe it's better to wait on eating and make it meditative, be present, savor each bite, and really appreciate the farmers who took the time and effort to grow our food. It's not easy. And the third is don't drink water during meals. I'm not sure if you heard of this, but I know. In America, you go to Russia, and here you are in the big picture.

My clothes upstairs piled on the ottoman countess one, because that is, oh, that is one that, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know why I can't get past that. I don't know why I can't wake up in the morning and fold my clothes nicely and just put them in the closet. Instead, I decide to pile them on my ottoman and then do this at night. That would be one for me. I don't think you're alone. I think there are a lot of home CEOs that have a spot that is unconventional that they just, like, pile clothes on, but we don't know why. Everything else is spotless. I'm so organized in every other area of my life, but that one ottoman has me on choke hold. I love it. You say you're very organized. What are some organizational tips that you can share with people here? When it comes to the kitchen, I would really invest in, you know, different containers or spice jars and making the space that you're in the most just as clean and as tidy as can be. Because that is just going to alleviate so much stress. When I go into the cabinet, I know that, you know, my sugar and my flour is there or my spices are labeled. Trust me. A lot of times, things can get really chaotic here in my kitchen, and, that is when I stress out the most, and I feel the most overwhelmed. I feel like when I have a nice clean kitchen and everything is ready for me and labeled, that would be the my one tip and advice, you know, for anybody that's cooking, just to bring some ease into your life. Absolutely. I think having an organized kitchen helps you get your meal on the table faster, easier, and cleaner. I I agree. It's one of those you know, for the longest time, I would just let my dishes sit overnight, and then I would clean them in the morning. Yeah. And I stopped doing that, and I feel like it just made the start of my day so much clearer. So Exactly. You wake up on such a good note. Right? If anybody needs help with that, that's also not a bad thing. So as if for those of you that have been following me for a really long time, you saw that I did get help with organization because my life with the business and the team growing, it was just chaos.

For mine. Mine just It's a hidden. Thomas hates it. But it's kinda like my KitchenAid mixer. I didn't want that out on my cabinet either, and so now it has its own little device that I can, like, pull and it shifts it up and it pulls it back down. That Yeah. It has its own storage. That's very cool. We need this. Thomas, let's make this happen. Yeah. Can we redo our house, babe? Are you listening? Yeah. Anytime now, please. Best cooking advice you've ever received. I mean, it's probably from my culinary school teacher and it's that everything needs acid and salt. Like mushrooms, for example, are not that delicious unless they are roasted or sauteed and salted with a hit of lemon juice or hit of red wine vinegar. Those two things to finish make every bit of difference in the world. They do. So I was recently in the Bahamas, and I was with Food My Muse, Nadia, and we ordered crickets with the guacamole. Like, they came with the guac. Yeah. And I was like, there's no way I'm eating that. She's like, they're good, but let me just put some acid and salt on it. Yep. She put acid and salt on everything, and I was like, you and Gabby carried along real well. She lives in Tucson, which is where I grew up. She does. I'm waiting for a collab. You 2 would crush. I would say She makes out Maine Margarita. Does she? Maine Margarita. I'm available. I know. We gotta hook that up. Talk to me about how motherhood has shifted just your viewpoint on running your home because you have your you know, we have this whole you're a CEO and a mom and a home CEO. Yeah. Like, how has motherhood shifted your thoughts on how you run your house? I actually think it's made me so much smarter, and it's, you know, it's actually really funny. I, like, hem and hawed over where to send Poppy to school. I applied to, like, 4 different preschools. I put a deposit down in all of them because I just, like, didn't know what I wanted to do, and it wasn't until her current teacher pulled me aside and she's, like, hey, girl, like, I heard you're on these other wait lists over here too, like, you're an idiot. And I was, like, oh my god, just, she's like, this is the best place for your child. I can guarantee it. She will thrive. I've watched her now in these Parent and Me classes, and I was like

Today, he has not been back to the doctor since. He doesn't have ADD. He is completely healed. He's thriving, has a business degree, and and that's my story. And I just I've I found myself as a mom. And again, remember, this was 19 years ago. I would walk over to Mons in grocery stores and and say, don't feed your children. Don't feed your children that, and I then moms were calling me. I would I was spending hours on the phone with moms. I didn't know what I was doing. So then I went back to school. I got several certifications in nutrition. I opened up a nutrition practice in San Diego, and within 2 years, I had a 4 month wait list to work with me, and I was just teaching people how to heal through food all across the country. My biggest challenge was getting people to make bone broth, and there was not a bone broth on the market at that time. There was no such thing. And so at that, back in those days, we were making our own yogurt, our own kombucha, our own bone broth, and so we launched Bonafide Provisions and that's kind of been the that's our story. It is a cornerstone of healing not only your son, but your family. Right? There's so much that when the sun goes through something in your family, it affects the entire family because we all have to band together, and so I just every time you tell the story, every time I read the story, that chill goes down my spine because I can feel it, not only for me in my own wellness journey, but being a mom and the empathy I have for any mom out there that has a child or themselves going through a wellness journey. It is so much. So what were some of the significant changes you noticed in your son's health kind of once you started focusing on nutrient rich clean ingredients? I know he didn't go back to the doctor for sinus infections, but what were some other aspects you saw improve? Yeah. I would say just his behavior. The first thing was that he was just very content. He was just a very content
